These two sites: http://www.lendingclub.com/ and http://www.prosper.com/ allow users to put money in an account, decide who gets to borrow their money and at what interest rate, and then gets the additional interest as it is paid back.

Seems like a really cool idea to make extra interest while helping others get back on their feet (it isn’t without risks, but Lending Club only lets people with a certain credit score sign up and was started by the guy that did e-loan and Prosper gives credit ratings and debt to income ratios so that you can decide how much or little risk you want to take on).
